Vaasa
Claiming to be the the sunniest city in Finland, Vaasa boasts leafy avenues, large parks that surround the public buildings and a green shoreline based on a layout drawn up by the architect Carl Axel Setterberg in 1855.
Attractions
For culture you can visit the Tikanoja Art Museum and the Old Vaasa Museum or, on a lighter note, take in the Wasalandia amusement park or the warm waters of Troplicandia. Ten miles (16km) away is the artisan village of Stundars.
